As a new Indie Author I was acutely aware that there are very few places on the Internet where I could promote my book for free. Lots of places want a truck load of reviews or will only promote your book if it’s free.
So the idea that was discussed was simple. Since, as indie authors, we all have websites why don't we cross promote eachother's books. In essence, I’ll promote your books on my site if you promote my books on yours.
Even if your site doesn't get much traffic, if we network lots of sites together then it all adds up to a huge amount of visitors. Better yet, most of this traffic is from readers, people who are interested in reading books and discovering new authors.
BookPromoCoop leverages this by displaying your books across a wide network of connected websites, making it a new way for Indie Authors to promote each other. We manage this network and provide you with a simple and equitable platform to add your books and manage what you want to show on your website.
It’s very easy to use and you can get started in minutes. Just create an account and add your books using your ASIN number. Then add some code on your website and that’s it. You are now promoting authors on your site, and likewise, your books are being promoted on other sites. You can filter the books you want to promote.
What’s more, the service is completely free.
So if you are an Indie Author, with one book or a hundred, then you really should join BookPromoCoop today.
Yes the service is free for the moment. I may at some point in the future decide to charge for some aspects of the service or for new services that may be added. But for the moment it’s completely FREE.
That said, if you would like to help keep the service going then you can either make a donation hereor you can even buy my book here.
Either contribution is greatly appreciated.
Since then I've written the Colony Mars series. A private consortium of Mars enthusiasts and newly minted tech billionaires fund an audacious project to send colonists to Mars – one way. All goes well until contact is lost and nothing is heard from them again. The story starts three years later with a new return mission to Mars to find out what happened to the colony. That's when the fun begins...
But, I digress…
Writing is my fulltime job since 2017, but before that, web development was what put bread on the table. My old business built ecommerce sites for retailers. So I’m pretty well equipped to create something like this. We kicked around the idea for this site on Kboards for quite a while and eventually I said, OK I’ll build it.
A big thanks to all those who rowed in with comments, suggestions and helped with beta testing. If there is anything you think might be of benefit to the service then please feel free to contact me at frontdesk (at) bookpromocoop.com.
In the meantime... get your books up and running on the network.
